“Republocrat”

An interesting book was just realized by theologian at Westminster Theological Seminary.  It’s called Republicrat.  As seen by the name, it is a blending and criticism of Republican and Democratic politics.  I have not read the book, but have a found a helpful review that gives some good insight.  The author, Carl Trueman, invites Christians not to fully associate every part of their views and ideals with a political party. Here is the helpful review.

Here are a couple interesting quotes that set the tone for the book. These quotes are very insightful and Christians should seriously think about these words.

“Religious conservatism does not demand unconditional political conservatism”

“The evangelical church in America is in danger of alienating a significant section of its people, particularly younger people, through too tight a connection between conservative party politics and Christian fidelity”
